03 Using the menu
Speed dial is a helpful function to easily and
quickly call a limited number of contacts from
your address book by just long-pressing (more
than 1 second) a number on the keypad (1-9)
while the phone is in idle screen (standby
mode). By default the number 1 key has
already been assigned to your Thuraya mailbox
number, that means if you long-press the
number 1 key (while your phone is in idle screen), your mailbox
will be called.
2.4. Speed dial
To assign a key as speed dial key:
Menu
>
Contacts
>
Speed dial.
Scroll to the key that you would
like to assign and press Assign. You can now choose a contact
from your address book to assign this contact to the selected
number key. To try if the assignment worked, close all programs
with the red hangup key and long-press the selected number
key on your keypad. The assigned number should now be called
automatically.
