Preparing the remote contrai for use
How do I insert batteries into the remote control?
O
Remove the cover from the back of the remote control.
O
Insert the batteries as indicated into the battery com­
partment and close the cover.
Note: Do not use rechargeable batteries in this remote
ontrol.
How do I set the clock on the remote control?
Should the clock not be correctly adjusted (after having
changed the batteries, for example), the data will flash on
the remote control display.
O Press ,CL,pCI<...3 (buttons KiXQ.DAY.tJ and
CASSETTE....: together) on the remote control.

The word 'CLOCK' will flash in the remote control display.
O Now set the precise time.by.pressing button iSt or ifci
or use the digit buttons il0.-9ji. The clock will start again
only after step

Connecting to the mains
O
Insert the female plug of the mains cable into the mains
socket at the rear of the video recorder.
O
Insert the plug at the other end of the mains cable into
the wall socket.
Some general notes for subsequent operation:
• The video recorder should remain connected to the mains
at all times to ensure that programmed recordings can be
made and that the television works. The power consump­
tion is very low.
• No special button is required to switch on the video re­
corder. It will switch itself on as soon as a cassette is load­
ed or when any of the tape transport buttons are pressed
(e.g. LiSTOPJ).
