Notes: ** Simulcast recording without a video signal is not
possible.
For a programmed simulcast recording, read the note in
the Section 'Correcting/Cancelling a TIMER block'.
Insert function
This function enables you to insert a new scene into an
existing recording without a disturbing transition.
O
Locate the positipn.at which you want to insert a scene
with the button .
O
Press button L^STOP. .
O Press button L+ii or or the digit buttons (re
mote control) to select the programme number of the TV
channel from which you want to record.
O
Press button Li.BBC^W.QPEj.i (remote control) until the
display of the video recorder shows:

Press button i.i.BECORD, / ..djfR.i.i.

Finish the recording with button i.i.ST.dPji;.
Notes: ** Inserted scenes are inserted with a diminished pic
ture quality. During playback, inserted scenes may show a
slight colour distortion and instability.
If you wish to end the insert recording automatically,
search for the desired end on the cassette.
Select the counter indication of the tape position and reset
it to '0' with the button ;.;,CLEARj;;i.
Now rewind to the beginning of the recording and start re
cording. The video recorder will automatically end the re
cording when the counter reaches 'O'.
Externally controlled recording
Do you have another device, e.g. a satellite receiver, with a
built-in clock through which other equipment can be con
trolled? With this video recorder, you can control the re
cording from an external device via the socket

While.the video recorder is switched off, press button
!lMPNlXQR.i:l for five seconds. The display will show
'RECORD PREP'. The video recorder is now ready to
record.

The start and end of the recording is remote-controlled
via socket EXTERNAL.? i '.

If you want to interrupt this function, press button
f:iJSTANDByj.:,
Note: * It is not possible to use a decoder with this func
tion.
* The 'record prepared' function may not operate success
fully when another programming function (TIMER) has also
been used.
