Problem
The video recorder does not respond to any button
being pressed
Remote control does not work
No playback from the video recorder
Poor playback from the video recorder
Recording is not possible
Programmed recording does not start
Possible cause
* No power supply
* Child lock is activated
* Programmed recording is being made
* Technical disturbance: disconnect from the mains
for 30 seconds, then reconnect. If this does not have
any effect, you can: 1. Disconnect from mains. 2. Re­
connect to.mains while holding down buttons
LiPL^Y;:!, iiSJANDBY.i.iand i : i ¿JECT..;,]. All data stored
will be reset (deleted).
* Batteries are exhausted
* Interference from fluorescent lamps or bright sun­
light
^ Child lock activated
* VCR 1A/CR 2 definition is wrong
* Technical disturbance: remove batteries for a minute
and then replace them
* No recording on the cassette
* Cassette has reached the end
* The programme number for the video recorder was
incorrectly selected or wrongly set
* The connection cable between the TV set and the
video recorder has come loose
“ 'Modulator' not in 'ON' position
^ Use 'Auto-tracking' with hired cassettes
Cassette is badly worn or of poor quality
Channel control
or TV set not properly ad­

^ Video heads are dirty. Load/remove a cassette sev­
eral times. This activates the head cleaning function
* TV channel is not stored or has been wrongly se­
lected
^ A cassette with erase protection has been loaded
* The recording data has been incorrectly pro­
grammed
^ Clock/date has been incorrectly set
* A cassette with erase protection has been loaded
^ Cassette has been wound to the end
* Video recorder was in 'Tuner mode'
