HOW DO I PROGRAMME A
RECORDING?
In this chapter you will learn how to programme the video
recorder. It switches itself on automatically, records the TV
programme you want, and then switches itself off again
automatically.
What information is needed by the video recorder?
For every programmed recording you must give the video
recorder the following information:
" the date on which the recording is to be made
** the programme number
the start time of the recording
” the end time of the recording
The video recorder stores all this information required for
recording in what is known as a TIMER block. And, that up
to one month in advance.
Your video recorder can store up to 7 of these TIMER
blocks.
An eighth block is used for TODAY programming.
The video recorder allows you one minute for each entry
step.
Please note that the timing of the TIMER blocks may not
overlap. The video recorder must first finish one TIMER
block before starting the next block.
How to programme the video recorder
With this video recorder you have a choice of three dif
ferent kinds of programmed recording:
The simple way of programming a recording on the same
day is called 'TODAY programming'.
'Programming with VIDEOpIus+' is as easy as dialing a
telephone number.
You can enter the data that you want to programme into the
remote control and then transmit this data to the video
recorder. We call this possibility 'Programming on the
remote control'.
