The micro-haze plus is a portable
measuring unit for determining the
gloss and haze of paints and
varnishes, coatings, plastics, and
similar materials.
Light is directed onto the surface of
the test specimen at an angle of
20° and the reflected light is
measured photoelectrically.
In addition to performing individual
measurements, it is possible to
record, store and statistically
revaluate a series of measure-
ments – consisting of up to 999
readings.
System Description 1
The unit is operated by means of
two separate buttons: one for
selecting the measurement mode
and one for starting the measure-
ments. Operation is aided by
comments in the alphanumeric
display (self-test, error messages).
The display can be provided in
German, English, French and
Japanese (Katakana).
The measuring unit conforms with
the standards DIN 67 530,
ISO 2813, ASTM D 523 and
ASTM E 430.
