3.1 Front Panel Description
The front panel keys allow you to configure your printer to communicate
properly with the computer and to set the desired print conditions.
A
16-character
LCD
display
prompts
the
user
with
operational
messages.
When
changing
settings
using
the
front
panel,
these
messages
will
guide
you through the steps. The display will also indicate the appropriate error
message so that you may take corrective action.
Your KX-P4440 has been set, at the factory, to the most commonly used
setting.
Please
check
the
Factory
Default
Settings
on
page
3-44
before
changing
settings
through
the
front
panel.
In
many
cases,
your
software
can
control
printer
functions,
eliminating
the
need
to
change
front
panel
settings.
