Cleaning the Thermal Recording Head

The thermal head in your machine needs to be cleaned periodically to ensure clear
facsimile reproduction.

To clean the thermal head,

1* Open the Receiving Unit by depressing the latch button on the right side panel.

t. Wipe the surface of the thermal head unit gently with a soft cloth or gauze soaked

with ethyl alcohol. Be sure to use a clean cloth since the thermal head can be
easily scratched.
