Sending Faxes
Connecting tone
This feature allows you to hear connecting tones, such as a fax tone, ring back tone or busy tone for several
seconds when you send a fax using the One-Touch Dial or EASY DIAL directory. This will tell you the status of
the other party’s machine.
— Fax tone:
The other party’s machine is ready for reception.
— Ring back tone; if this tone continues, the other party’s machine may not be a facsimile or may have run
out of paper. Check with the other party.
— Busy tone:
The other party’s machine is busy. Let the unit continue redialling or press
(STOP)
and try
again later.
This feature is set to “ON” as a pre-selected setting. If this feature is not required, you may turn it off.
