1) Press AT to
select.

When you select that “S-VHS AUTO” is “ON,” the recording mode is
automatically set according to the type of cassette tape used,
S-VHS or VHS. When you select that “S-VHS AUTO" is “OFF,”
recording is done in the normal VHS mode, regardless of the type of
cassette tape inserted. Select “OFF” when recording on an S-VHS
tape in VHS mode to be played back on a VHS VCR.
