The camera can calculate someone’s age so that
you can add it to your recordings.
Their age is displayed in the viewfinder when you
press the AGE button. If you start recording now, it
will be superimposed on the scene.
Press the button again to cancel the display. If it
does not appear in the viewfinder, it will not be
recorded.
Setting the age display
Before you can record a person’s age, you have to
enter their birthday in the camera’s memory. When
you have done this, the camera will work out how
old they are and keep track of their age
automatically.
Make sure you have already set the date and time
display (see p. 22).
1. Put the camera in record pause mode.
2. Press and hold the AGE button until the
year display in the viewfinder starts
flashing.
3. Press the + and - buttons to scan the
year display, then press the SHIFT
button to set it.
• Press + or - once to scan a year at a time;
press and hold to scan quickly.
• As soon as the year display is set, the month
display starts flashing instead.
4. Scan and set the months in the same
way.
5. Scan the days and then press the AGE
button to enter the birthday in the
memory.
• The camera automatically works out the age
and displays it in the viewfinder.
