FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY—

Viewfinder Ready-Light I
When the Nikon FE2 is used together with Nikon Speedlights
such as the SB-15, SB-16B, SB-18, SB-20, etc., a viewfinder
ready-light LED lights up when the flash is recycled. This way,
you’re easily informed of flash readiness without having to take
your eye away from the viewfinder. Depending on which Nikon
flash unit is attached, the same LED blinks to warn of insufficient
flash output, incorrect setting of the flash unit or incorrect setting
of the FE2. For more detailed information, refer to the flash unit’s
instruction manual.

Because automatic exposure mode is cancelled as soon as the flash
unit is turned on, you should determine the proper aperture beforehand.
