Cauee and remedy

No dial tone

• Check the connection of the telephone line cord.

• The handset battery is weak or completely discharged.

Place the handset on the base unit for charging.

The TALK lamp blinks and an

alarm sounds.

• You are too far from the base unit. Come closer to the

base unit.

• The handset battery is weak. Place the handset on the

base unit for charging. 9

The line is noisy.

• You are too far from the base unit. Come closer to the

base unit.

• Place the base unit away from a noise source.

You are connected to a wrong
number, or not connected at

all, even though you dialed
correctly.

Check the DIAL MODE switch setting. ®

The handset does not ring.

• Set the RING ON/BATT SAVE mode switch to RING

ON. •

• The handset battery may be weak. Place the handset on

the base unit for charging.

• Extend the base unit antenna vertically.

• The digital security code in the base unit is erased. Place

the handset on the base unit. O

Rve short error beeps sound

and the redialing function does

• The last number you dialed was more than 32 digits. You
