When you hear the ring, press
(SPEAKERPHONE).
The SPEAKERPHONE lamp lights up.

Speak into the base unit.

When you are finished, press
(SPEAKERPHONE)again. The
SPEAKERPHONE lamp goes off.
To adjust the volume of the base unit
speaker
Use the SPEAKER VOL control.

To adjust the ringer sound level
Select HIGH, LOW or OFF by using the
RINGER LEVEL selector of the base unit.

The handset rings even if the RINGER LEVEL
selector of the base unit is set to OFF.
For the best speakerphone results
• You may not be able to hear the other
person’s voice in a noisy place. Use the
speakerphone in a quiet room.
• Do not bring your hand or other object too
dose to the microhpne. This will result in a
shrill noise (howling).
• When speaker volume is loud, or the
telephone has been placed close to a wall,
you may find that the volume drops
suddenly. This is due to a circuit in the
telephone designed to protect against
howling. In such cases, lower the volume
slightly.
