Connecting Alternative Power Sources
AC power adaptor only
—(When using the camcorder with the AC power adaptor while on a trip, etc.)

Plug the AC power adaptor into a wall outlet.
Set the CHARGE/VTR switch on the AC power adaptor to VTR.
Removing the AC power adaptor
The AC power adaptor is removed in the same way as the battery pack. See page 7.
Option AC-S10 AC power adaptor:
You can charge a battery, as well as discharge it to get the optimum battery condition.
Using a Car Battery
The DCP-77 DC pack (not supplied) is required.

Align the flat side of the DC pack with the white line on the camcorder, and then
push down and slide it in the direction of the arrow.

Connect the cord of the DC pack to the cigarette lighter socket of a car (12 V or
24 V).
Removing the DC pack
The connecting pack is removed in the same way as the battery pack.
Options • BC-77. BC-S10 portable battery charger:
You can charge a battery pack on 100 - 240 V AC. The BC-S10 has a discharging
function, so you can charge a battery pack whether it is used up or not.
♦ DC-S10 car battery charger with discharging function:
You can charge a battery pack through the cigarette lighter socket.
