Connecting Alternative Power Sources
You can choose any of the following power sources for your camcorder: battery pack (see
page 7), household current, and 12/24 V car batteries.
The appropriate power source for you to choose depends on the place where you want to
use your camcorder.

Note on power sources
Disconnecting the power source or removing the battery pack during recording or playback
may damage the inserted tape. If the power is disconnected, connect it again immediately.
Using Household Current
The supplied AC-V25S AC power adaptor is required. There are two ways of connecting
the AC power adaptor.
With the connecting adaptor

Align the flat side of the connecting adaptor’s connecting plate with the white
line on the camcorder, and then push and slide it in the direction of the arrow.

Attach the AC power adaptor to the connecting adaptor.

Plug the AC power adaptor into a wall outlet.
4
Set the CHARGE/VTR switch on the AC power adaptor to VTR.
Removing the connecting plate
The connecting plate is removed in the same way as the battery pack. See page 7.
