8.3.9 Loading Data from Testing Computer
To load test data from the internal memory of the testing computer,
connect the testing computer to the USB cable port of the PC. If no
connection was made previously, the message ‘PLEASE CONNECT TO
USB-PORT OF PC’ will appear on the display.
Make sure that the driver of the testing computer is correctly installed on
your PC. For information about the installation of the driver, read the
chapter ‘Driver Installation for Testing Computer’. The driver can be
found on the supplied CD ROM.
To download the test data from the testing computer, turn on the device
by pressing the ‘START’ button. Enter the ‘MAIN MENU’ by pressing the
‘SELECT’ button. Use the ‘SELECT’ button to move the arrow and select
‘INTERNAL MEMORY’ from the menu. Press the ‘START’ button (SET) to
enter the ‘INTERNAL MEMORY’ menu.
Position the arrow on ‘MEMORY TO PC’ and press the ‘START’ button
(SET) to load the test data directly to the ‘TERRATEST 2.0’ software.
Upon establishing a successful USB connection, ‘PC connected’ will
appear on the display. Click on the button ‘READ TESTING COMPUTER’.
A progress bar will open, indicating the downloading progress of the test
data. The test data stored on the testing computer will now be loaded
and subsequently shown in the left window as a test data list, including
data record number, date, time, and Evd value. The test data is now ready
for processing.
The content of only one folder, one external media device, or the testing
computer can be displayed in the test data list at any one time. If you
would like to include several test series in one test data list, save all
required data records in the same folder. Then, load it into the
‘TERRATEST 2.0’ software by clicking on the button ‘LOAD TEST DATA’.
