3. Position and secure hitch pin and safety chain (See Figure 4.2). Place safety
chain through clevis welded to auger hitch tube and bolt together before
attaching to tractor.
Note:
The chain must have a load rating at least as high as the auger weight.

4. Raise intake feed hopper into transport position and secure with saddle pin
and hairpin.
Note:
Do not operate auger with intake hopper in transport position. This will damage
the u-joint.
5. Place

(on side of hitch) in transport position and lock.
