Step 9. Route Wiring Harness away from any
potential hazards (airbags, etc), and plug
Wiring Harness into the back of HomeLink
Module.
Verify Module Connections
Step 10. Turn Ignition key to the ON position. If
the backlit HomeLink Module buttons are not
already illuminated (indicating they are working
off Constant/ Courtesy Power) , they should
now illuminate (indicating that they working off
Ignition Controlled Power.)
Step 11. Position Module behind hole in the
substrate and match the Faceplate. Snap the
Module and Faceplate together until fully
engaged.
Step 12. Snap Faceplate to Module sandwiching
between them the desired number of Gaskets.
Step 13. Return the substrate back to its installed
position, and check for proper HomeLink button
compression.
If substrate moves when buttons are pushed,
the supplied Foam Spacers are needed. To use
the Foam Spacers, determine the distance from
the back of the Module to a hard panel surface
such as the roof. Remove the release paper
from the provided Foam Spacer (three
provided) and adhere it the backside of the
module. Repeat the step by adding another
spacer on top of the already installed spacer
until desired distance is achieved to give the
Module a firm feel when pushing the buttons.
Step 14. Tuck Wiring Harness beneath headliner
(if necessary, secure Wiring Harness behind the
A-pillar and/ or dash trim) taking care not to
bind wires.
Step 15. Replace any panels removed during
install, and place HomeLink “Programming and
Information Guide” in vehicle glove box or
console.

1. Refer to supplied HomeLink “Programming and Information Guide” for specific set up and operating
procedures.
2. Keep HomeLink “Programming and Information Guide” in vehicle for future reference.
