Mount HomeLink Faceplate
Step 1. Select Faceplate and use it to find your
desired mounting location for the HomeLink
Module. NOTE: Mounting surface must be fairly
flat and approximately 3” x 1¾” in size (7.62cm
x 4.45cm). Module may be mounted in the
headliner or in a plastic panel. Hold Faceplate
up to the location to make sure HomeLink fits
the space and will be convenient to use.
Step 2. Use a Plastic Trim Removal Tool to
remove any panels necessary to gain access to
the backside of mounting surface (substrate).
Make sure there is clearance behind the
mounting location and that the HomeLink unit
will not interfere with vehicle airbags or any
other component.
Step 3. Determine thickness of substrate.
Substrate thickness must be between or
compressible to between 1/16 to ¼ inch (2 to
8mm) thick for proper fitment.
Step 4. Use supplied Plastic Trim Template to
mark a clearance hole in the substrate.
