The Anglo-Saxon units (also referred to as
Anglo-American meausrement systems) are
derived from old English systems and were also
used in other Commonwealth states prior to the
implementation of the metric system. Nowadays,
they are only still used in the USA and to some
extent in Great Britain and in some of the
Commonwealth states.
