Cause
Remedy
In the controlled node, the synchronisation cycle of the
managing node has failed. The controlled node changes
automatically to the NMT_CS_PREOPERATIONAL_1
state and waits for a new run-up by the managing node.
• Check wiring components (failure of Managing Node,
router).
• Restart managing node if required.
• Change CN monitoring thresholds via

Cause
Remedy
Faulty Ethernet frames (CRC error) have been detected.
Possible causes:
• A device an the network is not POWERLINK-
compliant.
• EMC interference is too strong.
• Check if a non-POWERLINK-compliant device is in the
network (e.g. diagnostics PC).
• Reduce EMC interference on the network or use an
additional shield connection.
• Change monitoring thresholds:

None System fault Fault Trouble Quick stop by trouble Warning locked Warning Information
Cause
Remedy
In case of the managing node, an unwanted change from
the "Operational" status has occurred due to an error.
Possible causes are:
• Node failure
• Network cables have been detached.
• Servo Drive 9400 is switched off.
• Communication module is defective.
• Time-out with Controlled Nodes
• Telegram collisions due to non-compliant
POWERLINK nodes
• Check wiring.
• Plug network cable into POWERLINK terminal X251 or
X252.
• Restart managing node if required.
• Switch on Servo Drive 9400.
• Check if a non-POWERLINK compliant device is in the
network (e.g. diagnostics PC).
• Check whether collisions have occurred with the
managing node.
• Send communication module together with a
description of the fault to Lenze.
