8. Cleaning and Maintenance
8.2.1 Oiling
Be sure to check the oil level every and before each section-
ing procedure.
Checking the oil level
Unscrew both lids (1). The oil level must always be above the small
capillary tubes (2).
Filling up the oil reservoirs
Unscrew both lids (1) and add low temperature oil PDP 40 (order no. -
see chapter 9.2). Screw both lids (1) back on.
Oiling the sledge guides
Once a month oil the sledge guides (3) with low temperature oil PDP 40
(order no. - see chapter 9.2).
The instrument requires maintenance from Leica Service at
an interval of once per year.
The pushbutton switch of the refrigeration must likewise be
pressed at least once a year.
