7.7 Setting the trimming parameters
Proceed as follows:
1. On the computer screen, open the "Main window". Select the desired
section thickness, sledge speed, cutting window and sectioning
program. For further information, refer to chapter 6.4.
For reasons of safety and accuracy, the maximum trimming
thickness should not exceed 100 μm per section.
When trimming biological material (particularly bone),
section thickness should not exceed 50 μm.
2. Configure "Automatic" mode, then press the "Start" button. For further
information, refer to chapter 6.4.
The trimming procedure will be carried out automatically.
