Because of seed variation, a more accurate rate can be found
by calibrating the seeder as shown in steps 1-6.
•The provided charts were determined by laboratory tests on var
ious samples.
To

te for unlisted
seeds, proceed as shown on the seed charts reproduced below an
d on the next page.
Calibration of Front Seed Box
Front Seed Box May be calibrated for unlisted seed as follows: 1.
Raise Machine and Lock in transport position.
2.
Disengage clutch (electrical power is required to disengage)
.
3.
Close Meters of rear seed box if box contains seed.
4.
Place a tarp under machine to collect seed.
5.
T
urn the 1
1/16 Hex on transmission clockwise as follows:
•1
18 revolutions for 8-foot seeder
•92 revolutions for 10-foot seeder •78 revolutions for 12-foot seeder
6.
W
eigh seed for approximate planting rate in pounds/acre. Se
ed rate
will be doubled if 22 tooth sprocket is used.
