Optical media drives
One of the following optical media drives is installed in the computer:
DVD-ROM, DVD-ROM&CD-R/RW, DVD Super Multi and DVD±R/±RW
drives. An ATAPI interface controller is used for CD/DVD-ROM operation.
When the computer is accessing a CD/DVD, an indicator on the drive
glows.

Region codes for DVD drives and media
DVD-ROM, DVD-ROM&CD-R/RW, DVD Super Multi, DVD±R/±RW drives
and media are manufactured according to the specifications of six
marketing regions. When you purchase DVD-Video, make sure it matches
your drive, otherwise it will not play properly.

Writable discs
This section describes the types of writable CD/DVD discs. Check the
specifications for your drive to for the type of discs it can write. Use
RecordNow! to write compact discs. Refer to Chapter 4, Operating Basics .
■ The USB floppy disk drive should be placed on a flat, horizontal surface
when in use. Do not set the drive on an incline greater than 20 o while it
is operating.
■ Do not set anything on top of the floppy disk drive.
