This luminiare is supplied with either of two mounting options:
1. Mast Arm Mounting-(2" Mast Arm) Remove the paper backing

from the larger of the two gasket rings. Break out the half

moon shaped section of the black fiber bird shield in the

fitter opening, so that the 2" Mast Arm will fit through the

Slip the gasket onto the Mast Arm, approximately 5", so that

the adhesive side is facing the fixture end of the arm. Loosen

the 4 fitter clamp bolts and slip the luminaire onto the Mast

Slip the Luminaire onto the Mast Arm until it is fully engaged.

Tighten the fitter clamp bolts with your fingers.
NOTE: The fitter clamps are reversible, allowing them to be

used with either 1-1/4" or 2" Mast Arm. The small luminaires

are shipped with the clamps in the 1-1/4" position, while the

large luminaire is shipped with the clamps in the 2" poistion.

If the fitter clamps need to be reversed, remove the 4 fitter

clamp bolts and the 2 set screws. Turn the fitter clamps over

and replace the 4 bolts and the 2 set screws.
2. Decorative Arm Mounting-The Decorative Arm, which is shipped

separate from the luminiare, is for use with American Electric

"DS" series pole or other poles drilled to match this bolt pattern.
Insert the threaded studs, attached to the mounting arm, through

the mounting holes in the pole, or in the mounting pod on the

pole. Fasten it securely with the 1/4-20 Hex Nuts and 1/4"

Mounting the luminaire to the decorative arm as explained above

(2" Mast Arm Mounting), except that the gasket ring is not

required with the decorative arm.

Check the top edges of the luminaire with a level. If

the luminaire is not level from side to side, loosen the

fitter bolts and twist the luminaire on the Mast Arm until

it is level. Tighten all 4 fitter bolts.

If the front end is low, loosen the 2 front fitter bolts

and tighten the two rear ones. Repeat this procedure

until the luminaire is level.

If the front end is high, loosen the 2 rear fitter bolts

and tighten the two front ones. Repeat this procedure

until the luminaire is level.
When the luminaire is level, tighten the fitter clamp

bolts with a wrench to 10 foot pounds maximum torque.*

Tighten the 2 fitter clamps set screws until they are

touching the Mast Arm, then tighten each set screw and
Slide the Mast Arm gasket ring over to the rear of the

luminaire and stick it into place.

LEVELING

WIRING

Feed the supply wires through the mounting arm

and connect them to the terminal block. Verify

that the supply voltage is correct as noted on

the label tape on the terminal block. Refer to

the wiring diagram and the data label inside of

the luminaire for connection information and

ratings.

To install the ballastry Power Pad, position it

so that it is almost closed and engaged the hinge

pins on the Power Pad casting with the hooks in

the inside rear of the luminaire. Use CAUTION

when handling the Power Pad as it is HEAVY. Most

of the support should be at the ballast side, to

allow the Power Pad to properly engage the hooks.

After the hinge pins are seated in the hinge hoods

allow the Power Pad to swing downward and hang

from the hinges.
NOTE: In luminaire with the OPTIONAL HINGE KEEPER

feature, the hinge keepers will have to be slid

sideways to the left (facing to the rear). "Unlock"

the hinges, to allow the hinges to be engaged or

disengaged. After engaging the hinges, the hinge

keepers should be slide over to the right (facing

to the rear) to the "locked" position to assure

that the hinges will remain engaged.
Connect the two black electrical power connectors

together and the two white lamp connectors together.

(These connectors are "polarized" so they'll only

fit together one way.) Swing the Power Pad closed

and fasten it securely with the captive latch screw

located in the front edge of the Power Pad.

To remove the Ballastry Power Pad, reverse the

above procedure.

The latch for the refractor bezel is located in

the lower front edge of the luminaire. To open the

bezel, grip the latch with two fingers and pull

outwards and slightly upwards until it disengages,

then allow the bezel to swing downwards and hang

from its hinges. Install a lamp of the proper

type and wattage.
To close the bezel, carefully swing it up into

position and engage the latch. Do not attempt to

slam the bezel shut, as the reflector may not seat

properly against the refractor.
