If desired, tap Join Latitude to Join Latitude
where you can share your current location with
your Google friends and contacts.

If currently disabled, tap Wi-Fi Disabled to begin
the process of turning on Wi-Fi.

and tap Join Latitude

From here you can configure your location
reporting. Choose from one of the following:
• Detect your location to use your GPS to detect your
current location and update that onto your map.
• Set your location to manually set a location for
yourself on the map. This does not have to be your
actual location.
• Hide your location so friends can not see your
current location.

From within the Suggested Friends page, press
and then tap an available application
option such as: Refresh friends, See map, Add
friends, or Privacy.

From the main application page, press
and then tap an available application option
such as: Search, Directions, Starred Places,
Clear Map, Latitude, or More (Labs, Help, Terms,
Privacy & Notices, and About).
Maps
Google Maps allow you to track your current location,
view real-time traffic issues, and view detailed
destination directions. There is also a search tool
included to help you locate places of interest or a
specific address. You can view locations on a vector
or aerial map, or you can view locations at the street
level.
Important!: Before using Google Maps you must have an active
data (3G) or Wi-Fi connection. The Maps application
does not cover every country or city.

From the Home screen, tap
(Applications)

(Maps).
Enabling a Location source
Before you use Google Maps and find your location or
search for places of interest, you must enable a
location source. To enable the location source you
must enable the wireless network, or enable the GPS
satellites.
Important!: The more location determining functions are
enabled, the more accurate the determination will
be of your position.

(Settings)
➔
Location and security.

Tap Use wireless networks to enable GPS to
determine location based on nearby cell
towers.
