The Detailed Information window shows the following:
•
Status: The status of the pair. If the pair is split (or suspended), Status also shows the suspend
type. If the pair is waiting for initial copy, Status also shows the word (Queuing). If the XP
Continuous Access Journal pair for delta resync operation in the 3DC multi-target configuration
that consists of three XP Continuous Access Journal sites is displayed, the P icon (primary data
volume) should be deemed to be replaced with the S icon (secondary volume). In this case,
both volumes of the pair mean the secondary volume. The direction of the copy operation
indicated by the arrow shaped icon is invalid. The copy direction is determined when you
perform the delta resync operation.
•
Sync: If the volume in the local storage system is a primary data volume, Sync shows progress
of an initial copy operation.
If the volume in the local storage system is a secondary data volume, Sync shows information
in the following ways:
◦
If the volume pair is not split, Sync shows nothing.
◦
If the volume pair is split and, therefore, is in PSUS or PSUE status, Sync usually shows
the synchronization rate (that is, concordance rate) between the secondary data volume
before it became split and the secondary data volume after it became split. For example,
the synchronization rate (that is, concordance rate) is 100% if the contents of the secondary
data volume are the same before and after the volume pair became split.
If a failure in the initial copy operation causes the volume pair to be split, this column is
blank. If a failure occurs in the initial copy operation, the Detailed Information window
(
“Detailed Information Window” (page 185)
) shows the phrase Initial copy failed.
In the following cases, this column is blank:
–
When the volume in the local storage system is neither a primary data volume nor
a secondary data volume
–
When the status of the volume pair is HOLD, HOLDING, or HLDE
–
If the XP Continuous Access Journal pair for delta resync operation in the 3DC
multi-target configuration that consists of three XP Continuous Access Journal sites is
displayed, the information about the remote volume (secondary data volume) is
displayed in the P-VOL (Port-GID-LUN) field.
•
P-VOL and S-VOL: The primary or secondary data volume.
The first line shows the port number, the GID, the LUN, and the LDKC:CU:LDEV (the number
of the LDKC, the number of the CU, and the number of the LDEV) of the primary or secondary
data volume. The GID is a group number for a host group.
◦
If the primary or secondary data volume exists in the local storage system, the first line
also shows the CLPR number and the CLPR name.
◦
If the primary or secondary data volume is a LUSE volume, the LUN is the LDEV number
of the top LDEV (that is, the smallest LDEV number in the group of LDEVs that are combined
as a LUSE volume).
The second line shows the device emulation type.
The third line shows the volume capacity.
Notes:
◦
A device ID ending in # (for example, 00:00:3C #) indicates the LDEV is an external
volume. For detailed information about external volumes, see the HP StorageWorks
XP24000/XP20000 External Storage Software User Guide.
◦
A device ID ending in X (for example, 00:00:3C X) indicates the LDEV is an XP Thin
Provisioning virtual volume. For detailed information about virtual volumes, see the HP
StorageWorks XP24000/XP20000 Thin Provisioning Software User Guide.
