Figure 76 Change JNL Option Window

The Change JNL Option window shows the following:

Inflow Control: Specify whether to restrict inflow of update I/Os to the journal volume (in other
words, whether to slow delay response to hosts).

Yes indicates inflow will be restricted. No indicates inflow will not be restricted.

If Yes is selected and the metadata or the journal data is full, the update I/Os may stop. Select
No if you give priority to XP Continuous Access Journal pairs suspending than the influence
giving to the host performance.

Data Overflow Watch: Specify the time (in seconds) to monitor the journal data area and
know if it is full. This value must be between 0 and 600 seconds. If this option is set to 100
seconds, and the state that new journal data cannot be stored continues for 100 seconds, a
failure occurs and the copy operation stops.

If Inflow Control is No, Data Overflow Watch does not take effect and is blank.

The journal meta data area is not checked by the Data Overflow Watch. Regardless of the
value for the Data Overflow Watch timer, the journal group will be suspended with an error
if the journal meta data area is full.
