Enterprise Diagnostics LX32 Utility

The Enterprise Diagnostics LX32 Utility displays information about the server
hardware and tests the system to be sure that it is operating properly. You can
access the Enterprise Diagnostics LX32 Utility from the SmartStart CD or from
the HP website (

http://www.hp.com/servers/manage

).

For more information, refer to the Management CD in the ProLiant Essentials
Foundation Pack
.

Drivers

The server includes new hardware that may not have driver support on all
operating system installation media. If you are installing a SmartStart supported
operating system, use the SmartStart software and its Assisted Path feature to
install the operating system and latest driver support. If you do not use the
SmartStart CD to install an operating system, drivers for some of the new
hardware are required. These drivers, as well as other option drivers, ROM
images, and value-add software can be downloaded from the HP website
(

http://www.hp.com/support

).

For more information on drivers, refer to the Servers Troubleshooting Guide on
the Documentation CD.

Option ROM Configuration for Arrays

Before installing an operating system, you can use the ORCA utility to create the
first logical drive, assign RAID levels, and establish online spare configurations.

The utility provides support for the following functions:

Configuring one or more logical drives using physical drives on one or more
SCSI buses

Viewing the current logical drive configuration

Deleting a logical drive configuration

If you do not use the utility, ORCA will default to the standard configuration.
