For either template, enter one or more of the following variables. The variables must be enclosed
in braces ({ }) and separated by underscores (_). The template can also include text strings. When
a snapshot is created using the templates, the variables are replaced with the following values.

File system name fsname
yyyy_mm_dd shortdate
yyyy_mm_dd_HHmmz + GMT fulldate
When you have completed the scheme, it appears in the list of snapshot schemes on the Create
Snapshot dialog box. To create a snapshot schedule using this scheme, select it on the Create
Snapshot dialog box and go to the Schedule tab. Click Schedule this task, set the frequency of the
snapshots, and schedule when they should occur. You can also set start and end dates for the
schedule. When you click OK, the snapshot scheduler will begin taking snapshots according to
the specified snapshot strategy and schedule.
Creating an automated snapshot scheme from the CLI
You can create an automated snapshot scheme with the ibrix_vs_snap_strategy command.
However, you will need to use the GUI to create a snapshot schedule.
To define a snapshot scheme, execute the ibrix_vs_snap_strategy command with the -c
option:
