Before Viewing the List of Messages
This section explains the following information that is needed to locate

Format and Meaning of Message IDs
Each message has a message ID. The following table shows the format and
meaning of message IDs.

Indicates that the message is an HDLM message.

Message serial number for the module

Message level

C: Critical
Fatal errors that may stop the system.

E: Error
Errors that adversely affect the system. This type of error can be avoided
by performing a failover or other countermeasures.
•
W: Warning
Errors that enable the system to continue but, if left, might cause the
system to improperly operate.
•
I: Information
Information that simply indicates the operating history when the system
is operating normally.
Terms Used in Messages and Message Explanations
The following table shows the terms that appear in messages and the terms
that are used for explanation (meaning, description, and handling) of the
messages.
