Disk Subprocess Analysis and Recommendations
Disk Subprocess Analysis and Recommendations (Example 3-10a) is a summary of the
disk subprocesses associated with each logical disk volume in the system.

(1)
LOGICAL DISK VOLUME NAME: The name of each logical disk volume.
(2)
DP II PINS CONFG: The number of disk subprocesses configured for the
volume at the last SYSGEN or SCF change.
(3)
REQUEST QTIME: The time that requests spent on the disk processes
internal queue (includes any currently active requests). Up to eight PINs
can be configured for each logical disk volume.
(4)
REQ QTIME AQL: The average queue time length that requests spent on
the disk processes internal queue (includes any currently active requests).
(5)
DEFREQ QTIME: The number of requests received by the disk process
that are subject to deferral.
(6)
DEFER QTIME: The time (in seconds) that requests subject to deferral
actually spent deferred.
(7)
REQUEST ART: The Average Request Time of the REQUEST-QTIME.
(8)
DEVICE AST: The Average Service Time of the DEVICE-QBUSY-TIME.
