Example

This is an example of an OBEY file to start ZSERVER using the three AUTOEXPIRE
parameters:

param AUTOEXPIRE^DISABLE FALSE

param AUTOEXPIRE^UPDATE^STATS TRUE

param AUTOEXPIRE^TIME 18:30

ZSERVER/name $ZSVR, cpu 2, nowait/1

Task 5. Install DSM/TC Catalog Manager
(MEDIADBM)

1. To use another catalog beside the system catalog to store configuration tables:

a. Create a user catalog using CREATE CATALOG.

b. Compile the DSM/TC catalog manager process (MEDIADBM) (it must be

SQL/MP compiled before it can be run):

>SQLCOMP /IN $SYSTEM.SYSnn.MEDIADBM/ CATALOG sql-catalog

SYSnn

is the subvolume of the program file

sql-catalog

is the SQL catalog name, either the SQL System Catalog or an SQL User
Catalog

2. License MEDIADBM using the File Utility Program (FUP):

>FUP LICENSE $SYSTEM.SYSnn.MEDIADBM

SYSnn

is the same as you specified in the compile

Task 6. Create File Catalogs, Volume Catalogs,
and Pools

Creating File Catalogs

To add file catalogs to your system, use the MEDIACOM CREATE FILECAT command.
A typical configuration has one file catalog per node.
