UPDATING ENDPOINT FIRMWARE CLEARS HISTORICAL PROFILE DATA FROM THE ENDPOINT.
HISTORICAL PROFILE DATA CAN BE EXTRACTED PRIOR TO PERFORMING A FIRMWARE UPDATE BY USING
THE ORION ENDPOINT UTILITY SOFTWARE (LAPTOP) OR THE ORION FIELD APPLICATION SOFTWARE
(TRIMBLE® RANGER HANDHELD).

Firmware Versions
The software application determines the appropriate firmware version to use for the update based on the endpoint and
encoder type The software auto-detects the endpoint type based on the encoder to which it is connected and displays the
firmware version at the start and the end of the firmware update process
The software logs endpoints that have been updated and automatically creates and saves a log file on the user's computer

An IR Programming Bracket (PN: 65917-001) is available and can be used when performing IR endpoint firmware updates For
