8.3. Local Configurator Menu Tree
8.3.1. Reading the Menu Tree
The menu tree used to carry out local configuration is shown on the
following pages. Each block on the menu diagram signifies a menu
item. The text in the block indicates the title of the item, and any data
displayed. The text under each block indicates the type of menu item.
There are five item types: Branch, Edit----, PickList, Group, and User-
Func.
• Branch items do not display or edit data, but simply move you to
another menu item depending on which key is pressed.
• Edit ---- items* display a numeric (real or integer) or string value,
which may be edited.
• PickList items* display one of several alternatives, which may
be selected. PickList items have the choices to pick from enclosed
in a dashed box to the right of the item.
• Group items display, alternately, a parameter name and its
value/units. You are not allowed to change them at this point in the
menu tree.
• UserFunc items do not display or edit data, rather they allow a
built-in function to be activated.
• * Edit---- and PickList items marked R/O (read only) will display
the associated data, but you will be unable to change them at this
point in the menu tree.
