4.3 Pre-Operation Checklist
 Inspect tires. Check tire inflation pressure. Adjust if necessary.
 Inspect wheel hub fasteners. Adjust torque to proper setting, if
necessary.
Always check wheel hub fasteners before traveling on
public highways.
 Check depth setting of packer wheel arms. Adjust if necessary.
 Check depth setting of fertilizer knives. Adjust if necessary.
 Check tractor hydraulic reservoir level. Add hydraulic fluid if level is
low (Refer to tractor Operator’s Manual).
 Inspect all hydraulic lines, hoses, fittings and couplers.
Use a clean
cloth to wipe any accumulated dirt from the implement and
tractor couplers prior to connecting the hydraulic system.
 Inspect seed and dry fertilizer distribution system.
 Make sure manual wing locks are un-pinned and the pins
are placed in holder prior to winging down. Ensure that they are
locked again prior to transport on public roads
