WHAT IS GYR?
GYR is not a machine itself, but rather a system that is designed to work with your Pro-Cut Rotor Match-
ing lathe to make it the most powerful brake service tool you’ve ever seen! The GYR system brings together
modern hardware like a touch screen tablet and a hand held bar code scanner and integrates them with our
proprietary linear transducer, control board, and finally ties it all together with our unique purpose built soft-
ware program.
GYR measures every rotor live and compares to brake specification data which can be updated annually. The
GYR system can provide customer reports and management reports. GYR also provides cutting tip usage track-
ing, and direct online access to Pro-Cut for assistance at any time.
Before GYR, in order to perform the perfect brake job, you needed a brake specification guide, a dial indicator,
a rotor micrometer, and a Pro-Cut Lathe to give a great finish and eliminate lateral run out. Now all of those
capabilities are integrated into one, easy to use system, and now brake service will never be the same again!
