Spark gap should be checked and, if necessary,
adjust to dimension shown.
4.
Clean electrode and grounding rivet with fine file to
assure ground path for spark.
5.
Be certain all slots and holes are clear of cleansing
powder, grease, etc.
BURNER CAPS
Models with Cast Sealed Burners
TO CHECK BURNER-BURNER CAPS:
1.
Turn off power to unit.
2.
Remove cast cap from base.
3.
Be certain the underside of burner cap is clear of
metal shavings, grease, cleansing powder, etc.
4.
Be certain top side of burner base is clear of metal
shavings, grease, cleansing powder, etc.
5.
Spark gap should be checked and, if necessary,
adjusted to dimension shown.
6.
Spark should be visible between electrode wire tip
and bottom side of burner cap. Spark jump to burner
base (not between spark gap) could be due to cracked/
broken ceramic portion of electrode assembly which
requires replacement.
