The printer must be connected to the 5200-A via cable ACC-1269 and have power ON
before selecting the "P-2642" device. Once selected, choose tdi options, nEt or Gtn
options, Cr/LF options then no bAr/bAr at which time the 5200-A will download data to
the PTR-2642. There will be a short period when the 5200-A will blank, then return to
the gross weigh mode.
General Notes regarding the 5200A's outputs:
1. It is recommended to use a baud rate higher than 300 on com port 2. The 300 baud
rate on that channel may affect the operation of the 5200-A.
2. If display (RMT-140X-A) ( 20mA) is on port 1, and a printer is interfaced to com port
2, the CTS setting of com port 1 must be set to 0.
3. If either the 50-3960 or PTR-3950 ticket printers are interfaced to the 5200-A
indicator, and Autoprint is enabled in either AbA or Abr setpoint modes, a ticket
must be inserted in the printer before the batch is started.
4. When setting up the 140X-A remote display, the remote may show "SUCCESS" and
still not communicate. Check and compare settings manually in both the indicator
and the remote display.
5. If SPon = 1, and using "SP" setpoint mode, any attached relays will be energized
until the setpoint limits are reached. A brief contact may be made when power-up
occurs or certain keys are pressed. Use caution when operating or testing.
