Commissioning
After the installation of the device, the reagents are placed in the
refrigerator.
Only for AMTAX inter2 – 2–80 mg:
During the cold season with very low outside temperatures, reagents A
and B may be used no longer than four weeks. In the top concentration
range above 50 mg/L NH
4
-N, it can lead to impaired results because of
the reduced reaction speed. Therefore, in this case, select only the five-
minute measurement interval, so that the reagent set is consumed after
four weeks.

Upon full hose connection, including the drain hose, the power plug can
be plugged in both for the refrigerator and for the measurement device.
This begins the measurement operation immediately. All device settings
are described in the software menu system.
Passcode protection
To protect the device from unauthorized access or unwanted operation,
a password function can be activated directly at commissioning or later
at any time via a laptop by the Hach Lange employee. The passcode is
four digits and each of these consists of the numbers 1–4, which can be
freely programmed.
Shutdown
Note: Please observe during the handling of the reagents the safety
notes under
section Exchange of the reagents
.
So that no crystallization or other major impurities impede subsequent
commissioning, the entire system must be purged for a shutdown of
more than 48 hours with distilled water (

N O T I C E
For a long-term shutdown (over two days), the valve hoses must be removed
from the pinch valves to provide relief. However, because of the return flow risk,
the hoses must first be removed from the respective screw caps (canister lids)!
