CHARACT -
Select the transfer characteristic between input signal
(position set-point value) and stroke
Characteristic (customer-specific characteristic)
Use this function to select a transfer characteristic with reference to set-point value (nominal position) and valve
stroke to correct the flow-rate or operating characteristic.
Factory setting: linear
The switching position of the DIP switches in the positioner takes precedence over the communication
software, i.e. settings of the correction characteristic (
CHARACT) that are modified through the communi-
cation software are only active if the corresponding DIP switch in the positioner is set to ON.
