3. With the v ehicle wiring and grommets exposed,
slit the grommet on the driver’s side with a
utility knife from the hole where the vehicle
wiring passes through the grommet to the
outside edge. Unwrap the tape around the
grommet tabs, or cut the tabs off the grommet
that hold it to the wires. Pull the vehicle’s wiring
harness and rubber grommet slightly out on
the passenger’s side and repeat this step
on the passenger’s side.
4 A. Minivans: Open the v ehicle’s jack storage
cover on the driver’s side. If necessary, peel
back the
b lack tape co vering a hole on the
vehicle body panel. Using the 4-flat end of
the T-Connector push it inside the vehicle
through the driver’s side rear taillamp-wiring
hole and out the vehicle body panel hole into
the storage compartment. Reposition tape
over hole and wires if necessary. Push
the vehicle wiring and converter into the
driver’s side taillight wiring hole.
B. Durango: Route the T-Connector end with
green wire , the 4-flat end and the other
half of the driver’s side T-Connector end out
through the grommet hole from inside the
area behind the air baffle to outside of the
vehicle. Route the T-Connector ends with
green wire to the passenger’ s side and
route the 4-flat underneath the bumper,
being careful to avoid areas that could
damage the wiring.
5. Place the r ubber grommet on the driver’s side
that was removed in step 3 over the T-Connector
wiring, push all of the existing vehicle wiring
back into the grommet hole and seat the
grommet back in the hole. Repeat this for the
passenger’s side and tuck the remainder of
wiring in-between the bumper fascia or
under the bumper.
W ARNING
All connections m ust be complete for the
T-Connector to function properly. Test and
verify installation with a test light or trailer
once installed.
6. Replace an y trim panels or air baffles removed
during previous steps. Reinstall the taillamp
housing, positioning the wire harness between
the housing and the vehicle body. Secure the
remainder of the T-Connector harness under the
bumper with cable ties provided, careful to avoid
any areas that would cut or pinch the wire.
7. Secure the b lack converter box and trailer wiring
with double-side tape, electrical tape or cable
ties to prevent rattling.
NO TE: The T-Connector’s black convertor
box should be placed inside the jack storage
compartment or inside the vehicle behind the
air baffle.
NO TE: The Dur ango’s 4-flat will be secured
underneath the vehicle near the bumper and on
the Minivans it will be stored inside the vehicle’s
jack storage compartment.
ENGLISH
1. Remo ve both of the vehicle’s rear taillamp
housings. Slide the red loc king tab on the
harness connector to the unlocked position
and disconnect the wire harness from both
taillamp sockets.
2 A. Minivans: Pull the v ehicle’s wiring
harness and rubber grommet slightly
out on the driver’s side of the vehicle.
Plug the T-Connector end with a
y ellow wire
in-between the mating plug on the taillight
socket and vehicle wiring harness. Lock the
connectors with the
red loc king tab. Repeat
this procedure for the passenger’s side,
using the T-Connector end with the
green wire .
B. Durango: F or ease of installation temporarily
remove the b lack air baffle belo w the rubber
grommet on the driver’s side only and push
the vehicle’s wiring and rubber grommet
into the area behind the baffle. Place the
T-Connector harness in the area behind the
air baffle and plug the T-Connector end with the
y ellow wire into the mating plug on the v ehicle’s
wiring harness. Lock the connectors with the
red loc king tabs.
W ARNING
Ov erloading circuit can cause fires. DO NOT
exceed lower of towing manufacturer rating or:
• Max. stop/turn light: 1 per side (2.1 amps)
• Max. tail lights: (4.2 amps)

1. Enle vez les boîtiers de feux arrière des deux
côtés. Glissez la languette r ouge de reten ue
du connecteur jusqu’à la position desserrée et
déconnectez la couette de fils de la douille de
feux arrière.
2 A. Mini-fourgonnettes: Du côté conducteur ,
tirer légèrement vers l’extérieur le faisceau
de fils et le passe-fil caoutchouc. Branchez
l’embout du connecteur en T ayant un fil
jaune entre les pr ises correspondantes
sur la douille du feu arrière et le faisceau
de fils. Serrez les connecteurs à languette
r ouge de reten ue. Répétez l’opération du
côté passager en utilisant l’embout du
connecteur en T ayant un fil vert.
B. Durango: P our faciliter l’installation,
enlevez temporairement le déflecteur d’air
noir sous le passe-fil caoutchouté du côté
conducteur et poussez simplement les fils
du véhicule et le passe-fil caoutchouté
derrière le déflecteur. Placez la douille
du connecteur en T derrière le déflecteur
d’air et branchez l’embout du connecteur
en T ayant un fil
jaune dans la pr ise
correspondante sur le faisceau de fils
du véhicule. Serrez les connecteurs à
languettes
r ouges de reten ue.
FRANÇAIS
3. En a yant les fils et le passe-fil du véhicule
exposés, coupez avec un couteau polyvalent
le passe-fil du côté conducteur à partir du trou
où passent les fils du véhicule au travers du
passe-fil, jusqu’au rebord extérieur. Déroulez
le ruban adhésif autour des languettes du
passe-fil, ou coupez les languettes qui le
fixent au fils. Du côté passager, tirez le fais-
ceau de fils et le passe-fil du véhicule légère-
ment vers l’extérieur et répétez cette étape
pour le côté passager.
