Option 089
Option 089 adds frequency offset mode, allowing
the receiver to be offset from the source frequency.
This allows direct conversion loss measurement of
mixers without need for a reference mixer. RF and
IF frequencies must be within the specified operat-
ing range of the instrument. This test set modifica-
tion adds an internal reference channel switch and
deletes the reference channel output. Firmware
guides the user through test setup. When not in
frequency offset mode, the system operates as a
standard system and meets standard instrument
specifications.

at port 2. This configuration requires a power splitter and reference mixer
to provide a phase lock signal to the R channel input.
