MKP 1000/1200 • Quick Start Guide

To install and set up the MKP 1000 and 1200, follow these steps:
Step 1
Turn all of the equipment off
and disconnect it from the power
source.
Step 2
Install the cables
to and from the keypad in a wall, podium, or desk.
See Installing the Keypad in chapter 2, Installation and Connection.
Step 3
Install the keypad
in a wall, podium, or desk. See Installing the
Keypad in chapter 2, Installation and Connection.
Step 4
Attach the input and output cables.
See Connecting the Keypad in
chapter 2, Installation and Connection.
Step 5
Attach power supply
, (MKP 1200 only) See Connecting a Local Power
Supply in chapter 2, Installation and Connection.
Step 6
Connect power cords and turn on the equipment
in the following
order: output devices (matrix switchers, projectors, monitors, etc.),
and input devices (MCP 1000, DSS, cable boxes, etc.).
Step 7
Program the keypad
. See Programming the MKP 1000, or
Programming the MKP 1200 in chapter 3, Operating the MKP Keypads.
Step 8
Use the keypad to select inputs or presets
. See Using the MKP 1000,
or Using the MKP 1200 in chapter 3, Operating the MKP Keypads.
