Introduction to SIS

The MLA VC10 Plus accepts SIS commands from a control device connected to the RS-232
3-pin captive screw connector on the rear panel or to the female mini B USB port on the
front panel.

NOTES:

The wiring in the RS-232 cables crosses over so that the Tx of one device

connects to the Rx of the other and vice versa.

Neither port takes precedence over the other. Commands are always

processed in the order that they are received.

The RS-232 protocol is 9600 baud, 8 data bit, 1 stop bit, and no parity.
SIS commands consist of a string (one or more characters per command field). Unless
otherwise stated, upper and lower case characters may be used interchangeably.
When a command is valid, the MLA executes that command and sends a response to
the host device. Commands do not require any special characters to begin or end the
command string. Each response from the MLA VC10 Plus ends with a carriage return and
a line feed (CR/LF =
