Introduction

About the Switchers

The Extron MAV Series AV matrix switchers (figure 1-1) are a family of broadcast
quality matrix switchers that distribute any composite video or S-video input with
audio to any combination of outputs. The MAV Series switchers can route multiple
input/output ties simultaneously. The MAV Series switchers have a wide array of
input and output configurations, video formats, and audio connections.
Depending on the model, the switchers route a combination of S-video or
composite video with audio on captive screw or RCA connectors.

The MAV 88 matrix size has models without audio.
