11. Maintenance

The Oxix

®

sensor requires no maintenance as such. It may, however, be

cleaned on a regular basis to maintain its maximum accuracy.
In very slimy environments the built-in water or air jet function may be used
with advantage.
Clean the transmitter for example once a month to begin with, until an optimal
cleaning interval can be determined.

Cleaning the sensor

1. Remove the Oxix

®

sensor from the liquid.

2. Clean the sensor with a soft, moist cloth and clean water. A mild detergent

or dishwashing liquid may be used.
Warning: The accuracy will deteriorate, or be completely ruined
at the worst, if the measuring optic element is scratched by
for example the use of a steel brush during cleaning.

3. Dry the sensor with a soft cloth.
4. Immerse the Oxix

®

sensor into the liquid to be measured and leave it for at

least 15 minutes to stabilize the reading.

5. The cleaning intervals may need to be shortened or extended, all depend-

ing on the usage, the liquid composition and the location.

Cleaning the converter display

When seen necessary the Oxix

®

converter display may be cleaned with a soft,

moist cloth.

Functional Tests

The Oxix

®

transmitter calibration can, if wanted, be checked from the serv-

ice menu option "Sensor calibration". This option is read-only. In the unlikely
event that the unit fall out of calibration, an MJK serviceperson must be called
to fix or re-calibrate the transmitter.

Service Contract

A service contract maintains the equipment reliability and accuracy. Get in
