Transition Assembly (TR-6919)
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR TO ASSEMBLY OF TRANSITION.
Instructions
1. Transition opening location must be centered on sidewall stiffener.
Transition
opening must be cut 54" x 11" and 2" above the concrete. Remove stiffener before cutting
sidewall. Cut sidewall to dimensions given to ensure proper fit.
2. An access hole must be cut for the stiffener in bottom of the transition housing. Cut a 4-3/4" x 7-1/4"
hole in the bottom center of the transition before attaching the transition to the bin.
3. Apply a generous bead of caulk around the perimeter of the opening. Place transition assembly
over the transition opening. Fasten the side of the transition collar to the bin using self-tapping
screws. Field drill the top of the transition collar to line up with the plenum bolt holes in the bin.
4. Field drill the stiffener bolt(s) through the transition collar so they are aligned.
5. Now a hole must be cut in the top center of the transition housing. Mark a 7-1/4" x 8" wide opening for
the stiffener to enter. Cut along the line. Bottom edge of entrance collar will also need to be trimmed
to provide clear access for stiffener. Place stiffener through transition housing and attach to sidewall.
Be sure stiffener anchor is located on anchor bolt. Place washer and nut on anchor bolt and tighten.
6. If you do not have the optional transition seal kit, you need to make a plate to seal around the stiffener
at the top and bottom of the housing to minimize air loss. Make sure to caulk around the plate before
fastening to transition housing.

DANGER
DO NOT CUT STIFFENER.
If stiffeners do not fit as they should, call the engineering department. Cutting
stiffeners to fit will cause structural damage and possible bin failure. The stiffener
must continue through the transition to the foundation.
